Putnam County Dairy Goat Show

This is a sanctioned show by ADGA and their rules shall govern. They type of show will be a Sr. Doe and Jr. Doe Show. The Junior and Senior Shows are separately sanctioned and including Alpine, LaMancha, Nubian, Recorded Grade, Obershasli and All Other Purebred (Saane, Toggenburg, Nigerian Dwarf and Sable). The show will be at the Putnam County Fair, Greencastle, IN. The show order will be Alpine, LaMancha, Nubian, Recorded Grade, Obershasli & All Other Purebred. The original Registration certificate is required for all animals six months of age or older. A registration or recordation certificate or a stamped duplicate application showing the date received by the ADGA office is required for all animals under six months of age. Show officials shall not accept copies of the aforesaid, and any other document in lieu of them, or information obtained from the ADGA office via telephone, etc. The document specified for that age animal to be show must be presented to the show secretary before judging shall begin and MUST be checked by the show secretary for verification of registration/recordation information. Age shall be computed s of the Date of Show. Board of Animal Health Premise ID# is required. Animals showing signs of infectious disease or ill health will be barred from the barns and show ring, the Show Committee will make the decision.

Animals may begin to arrive after 4:00PM on Friday, June 6, 2008 and animals MUST be in place and registered with the Show Secretary by 7:00AM on June 7, 2008. Judging will begin at 8:00AM on June 7, 2008. Animals will be released immediately following showing.

Senior Doe Show  
1. Yearling Milker -1 yr and under  
2. 2 yrs and under 3 Milker  
3. 3 yrs and under 5 Milker  
4. 5 yrs and over Milker  

Junior Doe Show

 
5. Junior Kids Born after April 1 of current year
6. Intermediate Kids Born from March 1-March 31 of current year
7. Senior Kids Born from January 1 to February 29 of current year
8. Yearling Born before Jan 1 of current year and under 2 (never fresh)

Food Vendor's will be located on the fairgrounds this weekend.

FYI - This Dairy Goat Show will be sharing the fairgrounds with the AKC Nite Hunt. Our show committee has been working with the AKC Nite Hunt Show Committee. We have and will take all possible steps to separate the dairy goats and the hunting dogs for this weekend. The Dairy Goat Show Committee is requesting the Dairy Goat Exhibitor's to enter at the North Entrance of the Fairgrounds. Please drive past the front entrance gate and follow the signs to enter the Fairgrounds at the north entrance. If you have any questions please contact the Show Chairman - Larry Fidler.
